AMMAN — The Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, on Thursday approved amended legal aid regulations for 2022, according to Jordanian news agency Petra.
The new system aims to facilitate access to justice, strengthen the rule of law, provide fair trial guarantees and expand the groups benefiting from legal aid by revising related criteria and eligibility grounds .
The Council of Ministers approved an amended regulation on the management of hazardous materials and waste for 2022 in order to reform the Technical Committee for the management of hazardous materials and waste.
According to the new criteria, the composition of the technical committee will be enlarged to include representatives of the ministries of transport, interior and environment.
The Cabinet also approved the mandatory grounds for a draft Regulation to Revoke Industrial Activity Incentives No. (13) of 2020, which was superseded by Regulation No. (45) of the Industry Development Support Fund. industry of 2022 which was published in the Official Journal.
The 2022 system would maximize benefits to the national economy by giving Jordanian products a “greater” competitive advantage and incentives in local and global markets.
