The 49th CIFF Guangzhou was held in two phases from July 17-20 and July 26-29 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou Pazhou. The event occupied a total of more than 5,400,000 square feet (510,000 square meters) of exhibition space, welcoming more than 2,500 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions and 139,574 high-quality professional visitors, and organizing 8 thematic exhibitions as well as more than 130 conferences and forums.
For the first time, CIFF Guangzhou also held online on various social and multimedia channels, registering 50.19 million visits and once again proving to be the most important business platform. strategically in Asia, uniting the entire furniture industry under one roof and generating strong synergy between the Chinese domestic market and the international market.
The first phase represented everyone from the home, from furnishings and interior design to outdoor living. Home Furniture showcased major companies, including 70 design brands that had not participated in CIFF in the past five years, which offered new products and original solutions with a particular focus on the home market, and introduced the homestay sector for the first time.
Among the many events, the CMF Trends Lab interpreted market trends through four workshops: the Digital Post-mankind Lab, focused on the virtual economy and digital storytelling; the Unbalance Lab, developing the themes of well-being in the post-COVID era, food innovation and a focus on zero emissions; the Nation Oriented Lab, focusing innovation in traditional craftsmanship, the redefinition of the oriental spirit and the use of industrial materials; the Body Shaming Lab, drawing attention to the growing role of women in the economy, as well as changing trends in consumer decision-making power.
At the same time, the D2M Lab, the platform for linking and creating synergies and opportunities between designers and manufacturers, strengthening communication, exchange, knowledge sharing and fruitful collaboration, saw the active participation of about fifty design studios.
Homedecor & Hometextile presented the latest trends in interior decoration: furnishing accessories, lighting, decorative paintings and artificial flowers to add value to every environment. Outdoor & Leisure has interpreted outdoor lifestyles, offering increasingly sophisticated solutions to extend quality and comfort beyond the home.
The second phase presented the world of work and public spaces, as well as the technologies essential to the furniture industry.
The Office Show brought together industry-leading companies showcasing smart and sustainable workspace design solutions that improve productivity, well-being and safety. Much of the space has also been given over to public commercial spaces, healthcare and elderly facilities, and schools.
2030+ International Future Office (IFO), under the theme Hyper Dimensions, analyzes the workplace in the three dimensions of time, space and knowledge, to explore a new model of workspace and new trends in office furniture.
Jointly organized by CIFF and the China National Furniture Association, the design exhibition saw the collaboration of prestigious brands such as Steelcase, Koenig+Neurath, Lamex, Sitland, Magis, Estel, Rexite, Gan, Aurora, Sunon, Tom Dixon and Linak.
CIFM/interzum guangzhou 2022 showcased a full range of technologies and semi-finished products for the furniture industry. The major international and Chinese brands of machinery, materials, surfaces and hardware have provided a convincing response to the needs of an industry in constant growth, attentive to the most innovative solutions to produce quality by optimizing production.
