Round table on Vastu, green building materials as part of “IIID Showcase 2.0”


Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A panel discussion on Vastu and green building materials, “Best Stall Design Exhibitor” competition and a workshop on “Ek Bhasha Anek Bhasha” were held as part of “IIID Showcase 2.0” at BHEL Dussehra Ground in the city.

It was part of the third day of a four-day “IIID Showcase 2.0” exhibition, organized by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) Bhopal Regional Centre.

On the third day, there were several competitions in different categories including “Best Stall Design Exhibitor”. On this occasion, the IIID committee raised the morale of all the exhibitors.

The event started with the art gallery presented by MANIT Prof. Anupama Sharma. She also chaired a round table on Vastu. This was followed by another discussion on green building materials by architect Shubhranshu Upadhyay under the theme “Steps towards the environment”.

In addition to interior design students, other people also enthusiastically participated in this round table. The concept of green building was strongly highlighted during the workshop.

In addition, a typography workshop on ‘Ek Bhasha Anek Bhasha’ was organized by graphic designer and typographer Kriti Saraiva (Mumbai).

After the event, IIID committee members from different parts of the country visited Sanchi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ravisha Merchant, President and Interior Designer of IIID Bhopal Regional Center, praised the magnificent beauty of the Sanchi stupa.

In addition, a gala evening was also organized as part of the event at the end of the day, which delighted everyone. Santoor player Ninad Adhikari, singer Aditi Shah presented Bollywood songs which captivated the audience which was present in large numbers.
